The De Soto Ranger District, National Forests in Mississippi, will soon be advertising a permanent GS-0462-06/07 Forestry Technician position with a duty station in Wiggins, MS.  This position will assist the Lands Forester and Military Liaison in the full range of activities within the busy lands, minerals, and special uses programs, including the administration of the 117,000 acre Camp Shelby Special Use Permit.  The ideal applicant is a good communicator who is able to work independently using sound judgment, keep multiple projects going at once, is a quick learner, and is also able to use technology for the betterment of the programs.
