Position Summary: Catalogs library materials, with emphasis on print monographs, including materials from Special Collections, and creates descriptive metadata for electronic resources in VTechWorks. Maintains controlled vocabulary used in access points on bibliographic records and creates MARC authority records in the National Authority File.

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in cataloging, including bibliographic description, MARC formats, and Library of Congress subject headings and classification
- Experience with online bibliographic utilities and integrated library systems
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply detailed and complex policies and procedures, and pay strict attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as plan and schedule work to produce required results
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people
- Previous library experience, including demonstrated bibliographic skills
- Demonstrated experience with adding NACO records to the National Authority File
- Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience with using OCLC for online bibliographic utilities
- Previous library work experience in Technical Services
- Academic library experience
