The attached paper may be of interest to those of you interested in working with rare and imperiled creatures. If you are not aware, the Center for Biological Diversity settled their lawsuit with the US Fish and Wildlife Service for the Service's failure to take action under the ESA for over 600 candidate species, most of which are in the SE.
