Geographers – See below from current CAC AmeriCorps member Marjorie Jerez. You may remember Marjorie from the last two GIS Day events on campus or as a guest speaker in 311. Marjorie has used her time as part of CAC AmeriCorps to work at
both GSMNP as well as national parks in the western US.

Attached is a pdf with information on the two openings for the CAC AmeriCorps GIS and Data Management at Great Smoky Mountains National Park starting August 6, 2018. It is a 10 1/2 months commitment
to the service program. Housing is not provided, but one may use part of the living stipend given to pay for housing inside the park or choose to find a place in the surrounding communities. Any student that is graduating in spring or summer interested in
applying should consult the document on how to apply and who to contact if they have questions.
