Want to practice your elevator speech? Or maybe you'd like to try your hand at communicating science to the public? Tired of the traditional conference talks and posters? Then consider presenting a 5-minute lightning talk, new this year at GeoSym 2018! Graduate and undergraduate students from all disciplines are encouraged to participate! Give a talk or attend! 

PowerPoints and/or other visual aids, like props, are encouraged, but not required. Remember, you only have five minutes! Try to explain your science to a general audience, limiting technical jargon, and have fun!
