Dear Students and Faculty who Advise Students, My Geography 431: Environmental History from Lake Sediments or "Secrets in the Mud" class has room for a few more students interested in a hands-on introduction to the study of lake sediments to understand the history of vegetation, climate, disturbances, human activity, fire, and other characteristics of the natural and human environment. Geography 431 fits in both the "Landscapes and Environment" and "Climate and Climate Change" concentrations in Geography. The class meets for lectures, demos, and discussion on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30-3:20 in the Advanced Physical Geography Lab in Burchfiel, and on Wednesday afternoons for labs in that location and other locations on and off campus.
