LibGig, a division of LAC Group, seeks a temporary
Member Services Librarian for a library organization in the Northwest Chicago Suburbs. The Member Services Librarian will be responsible for designing and implementing projects
related to the training and development of CCS library staff. This is a full-time position specializing in training and consulting projects related to technical services, but will provide services to all member library staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and lead ILS training and other continuing education opportunities for libraries as directed. Training responsibilities include scheduling presenters, coordinating event logistics,
managing promotion, designing and creating training materials (including videos and screencasts), procedural documentation and serving as an instructor in both virtual and in-person environments.

Provide technical support and consulting to libraries in all areas of service, specializing in technical services.
·
Provide member library outreach and relationship-building meetings in cooperation with the Member Services Manager.
·
Collaborate with staff to provide additional services, cross-training and programs for members.
·
Attend technical group or committee meetings as assigned.
·
Keep informed of current technology and library trends in relation to job function in order to recommend new services, improve internal or library workflows, and improve patron satisfaction.
QUALIFCATIONS
·
Master’s degree in library science or related field required.
·
At least 2 years of experience in training, education, marketing or instructional design, preferably in a library or similar environment.
·
Experience with Integrated Library Systems, MARC, RDA, OCLC Bibliographic formats and standards, BIBFRAME required.
