Our search is extended for an undergraduate instruction librarian with 1-3 years of experience. This position is ideal for a part time instruction librarian with a little experience who wants a full time position or a full time librarian seeking change. Must demonstrate effective engagement, an understanding of learning preferences, excellence, and collegiality. Make a difference in our students' academic lives. MLIS or MLS required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Flexibility and initiative required to work in a dynamic small library with a strong student-centric service orientation
• MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited institution
• Experience with creative design and delivery of course-integrated instruction
• Experience in developing effective delivery technologies including LibGuides and LibAnswers or similar tools
• Team player able to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and library team members
• Initiative in promoting the Library’s instruction program
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and oral
• Dependable and collegial
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsibilities include teaching on the Gainesville, Atlanta, and Norcross campuses and a commitment to online delivery
• Teach sessions ranging in complexity from one-shots to one credit courses
• Deliver customized, course-specific instruction to students in all colleges
• Participate in library curriculum development
• Create new content for the Library’s LibGuides and other web based discovery tools
• Provide reference support in both on ground and online venues
• Participate in library assessment and accreditation activities
• Serve the university community
• Other projects and duties as assigned
