Greeting Geographers and members of Club Geography,

Tomorrow afternoon we will be hosting David L. Page, a researcher at ORNL, who will be sharing with us a little information about himself and what he does. He will also be sharing with us some information about the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), a great organization for anyone interested in photogrammetry or remote sensing. It will also be a great opportunity for anyone interested in ORNL and their GIS/Remote Sensing departments to meet somebody involved.

David L. Page, PhD, is an R&D scientist with over 50 refereed journal and conference publications. David hs worked extensively in computer vision for more than 20 years and is the lead inventor of key holographic rendering technologies for an innovative startup. David currently works in remote sensing and leads a research effort at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory to investigate and develop high performance computing algorithms for image-based navigation of aerial manned and unmanned systems. David received a PhD (2003) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
