Really looking for an Area Specialist announcement. I am not sure everyone has that title. It would be like a Farm management specialist in a regional position. Non-tenure. Hi, Deb. At Florida, Extension Specialists are tenure-accruing state faculty and require a Ph.D. I could provide you with an example of a job advertisement that shows that. Is that what you’re looking for? Our County Extension Agents are also considered faculty but are permanent status-accruing. They can be hired at the Agent I level with a bachelor’s but must have a master’s to advance or be hired at the Agent III or IV level. To be promoted from Agent I to Agent II, they need to be half way through their master’s program. I can probably find several examples where we state that requirement. Just let me know what you’re looking for. Hello Everyone, I am searching for announcements from other states showing that you require a MS for an Extension Area Specialist preferably in the farm management area of responsibility. If you have an Extension job family documentation for compensation showing it is required that will work also. Thank you in advance for your help. See you next month!!!
