Freight Transportation Stakeholders:

I just wanted to give you a heads up that the August Talking Freight webinar intended to focus on Freight and Passenger Railroad Coordination, will NOT be held on Wednesday, August 16^th.  The FHWA Freight Office is having greater than expected difficulties securing the speakers for the webinar, something I did not anticipate after having a very positive conversation with one of the targeted speakers in late June.  This webinar will still be held once speakers are secured, but it will likely be postponed until late August or September, or in a worst case scenario, late 2017 or early 2018.  (If the webinar is held in September, it will function as a second webinar; a topic has already been identified for the “regular” September webinar – focus will be the EPA SmartWay Program – and EPA has assisted me in securing most of the speakers for that webinar.)
