Librarian Position Available: Student Success Librarian (Assistant Professor)

 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Collections and Archives (C&A) division is seeking applicants for the position of Student Success Librarian (R99687) at the Ottenheimer Library.

 

The Student Success Librarian is a 12-month library faculty position with rank leading to tenure. Reporting to the Student Success Coordinator, the Student Success Librarian collaborates with personnel across the Collections and Archives division and throughout the university to develop and promote library services that support student success, recruitment, and retention. The Student Success Librarian provides in-person and online research assistance and instruction; develops online instructional materials; promotes library instruction for first-year experience classes, the first year writing program and other core curriculum courses; and provides outreach to students and faculty at K-12 schools, concurrent programs, external campuses, and two-year partner institutions.

 

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited school.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with developing and providing instruction and training. Familiarity with learning management systems. One (1) or more years of post MLIS experience in an academic library setting.
