Roane State Community College is accepting applications for Library Assistant III based at the Harriman, TN campus. The position is 12-month, full-time with non-exempt support staff classification.

 

Primary duties include:

• Creates and/or modifies basic bibliographic, item and order records within integrated library system to facilitate accurate, detailed cataloging by cataloging librarian;
• Provides budgetary and administrative support to library Director;
• Supervises student workers;
• Orders and receives library resources (includes coordinating with purchasing department and vendors);
• Coordinates inventory processes for three library collections (includes ongoing inventory process; repairs; lost items/not on search; and replacements reports).

 

The position works one evening a week at the Harriman campus library.

 

Required qualifications:

• Associate Degree;
• Experience in administrative support positions, including expense tracking;

 

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous library experience;
• Previous knowledge of the following information systems: Alma by Ex Libris; SciQuest; Banner;
• Budget support;
• Bachelors Degree;
• Experience supervising part-time staff
