TITLE:                                                 Librarian/Instructor

MINIMUM:                                        $35,210. (Minimum Annual Salary under 10-Month Contract)

JOB LOCATION:                              Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College – Main Campus

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:  Provide Reference and Library Information Services Support to students, faculty and staff.  General responsibilities may include: assist with the planning, organization, and evaluation of library and information services; offer quality library and information support services; instruct library users to access and evaluate information; assist with collection development and maintain online research guides; remain informed on current trends for library and information services; participate in professional organizations and professional development opportunities; serve on assigned college and KCTCS committees; meet professional standards and ethics that are in accordance with state regulatory statutes and/or the American Library Association (ALA) standards.

 

Teaching and reference assignments may be on one or more of the college’s campuses or offsite locations and may include concurrent enrollment, evening and weekend programs, online instruction, and other instructional modalities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited university.  Candidate should be familiar with MS Office; Blackboard or other online modalities; and should possess excellent customer service and technology skills.   Must be proficient in both written and verbal communication and highly motivated to stay abreast of changes in a dynamic learning environment. Experience with LibGuides preferred.
