Geographers,
ESRI recently published the results of their Young Professionals Network survey by David DiBiase on the experiences of recent GIS graduates (available
here). The entire article is worth a read, especially the bottom half with the responses to questions pertaining to the
Industry Sector Technical Competencies for GIS and the free responses asking for advice to the GIS education community.
As the end of the semester and graduation approaches, many of you are well into your search for jobs and internships. If you find that there are gaps in your discipline specific knowledge pertaining to a specific
