SHSU's campus of 20,000 students is located 50 minutes north of Houston in Huntsville, Texas. Duties include teaching library instructionsclasses for both undergraduate and graduate students, providing reference assistance, including one evening per week and some rotating weekend hours, and participating in collectiondevelopment. A degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited master's program is required; some undergraduate or graduate coursework in the natural sciences, i.e.biology, chemistry, physics, agriculture, animal science, geology, or nursing, is desired.
