10:00 AM: Arrive at Four Points by Sheraton Knoxville Cumberland House Hotel (1109 White Avenue, Knoxville TN 37916, Tel: 865-971-4663) to check in the hotel if a room is available; otherwise, store luggage and park vehicle at the hotel. 

 

10:00 AM: Dr. Robert A. Washington-Allen will meet with Dr. Jason Duke at the hotel at 10 AM and walk with him from the hotel to the Geography Department.  First stop, meet with Norma Galyon for UT paperwork.

 

10:20 AM – 11:00 AM: Dr. Paulo Raposo will then give Jason Duke a tour of the Geography Building and escort to BGB 406

 

11:00 AM – 1:30 PM: Open meeting with faculty, staff and students in BGB 406 and a pizza lunch starting at 12:15 PM.  Mrs. Maegen Rochner has ordered pizzas and drinks.

 

1:30 – 2:30 PM: Quiet time in BGB 406

 

2:30 – 3:00 PM: Walk from BGB to the Lindsay Young Auditorium in Hodges Library and test computer projector and Powerpoint file.  Ms. Jenna Casperson will accompany him to the Library.

 

2:40 P.M. Mrs. Galyon has arranged Jason’s Deli.  Dr. Hyun Kim & Mrs. Maegen Rochner will guard food

 

3:00 – 3:40 PM: Reception in the hallway outside the Lindsay Young Auditorium in Hodges Library

 

3:40 – 5:00 PM: Either Drs. Alderman, Dr. Kalafsky, or Dr. Washington-Allen will introduce Dr. Bruce Ralston who will introduce Dr. Jason Duke:

Presentation of “GIS in Disaster Response – Issues and Solutions” in the Lindsay Young Auditorium

 

5:00  Return to the Four Points Hotel for a short break (Check in the Four Points Hotel if it’s not done in the morning.)  Dr. Robert A. Washington-Allen will walk Jason Duke back to the hotel.

 

5:45: Dr. Robert A. Washington-Allen will pick up at the Four Points Hotel for dinner with Bruce Ralston, Sally Horn, and Yingjie Hu at Naples Italian Restaurant
