Dear US Citizens and permanent residents,

Please consider that the early bird (EB) registration for the 10th ISVLV and the 4th IRS meeting closes within a few days (28th February). Some of you have already registered and even payed the fee, Thanks to those of you! Yet, some of you have not.

Now, we have two good news to encourage you in the last minute to do your EB registration, and a third point about a travel grant which helps you to reduce the costs for the long trip:

1) The credit-card payment option is now up and running on the GRC homepage: https://www.ranavirus.org/store/
(Thanks a lot for the GRC, Rachel Marschang and especially Jesse Brunner)

2) We have decided to extend the fee payment deadline for the early birds until 31st of March
However, the early bird registration should be done, using the conference homepage until 28th of February. (We do not extend the EB registration, only its fee payment. These two things are decoupled!)

 3) We have received the good news from Prof. Gregory Chinchar and Dr. Rachel Marschang that travel grant money has been acquired from various sources. I forward here the announcement, which we received.

"FUNDING NOTICE: The GRC has in hand a $9000 award from the USDA and a pending $10,000 award from NSF to support attendance at the 4th ISR/10th ISVLV meeting.  Investigators interesting in applying for a travel award should contact Tom Waltzek ([log in to unmask]) to indicate their interest.  Funds will be awarded based on availability and the following criteria.  Only US citizens and permanent residents are eligible for these awards and preference will be given to students, post-docs, research associates, junior faculty, women, and members of under-represented minorities with an interest in diseases caused by ranaviruses or other members of the family Iridoviridae.  Depending upon demand and the level of support, we anticipate awards to be in the range of $750/ individual."
