5th Annual Garden Expo presented by the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County
The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County, in association with the University of Tennessee Extension, sponsor their 5th annual “Master Your Garden” Garden Expo on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday April 9th,
2017, from 10am to 5pm, at Camp Jordan Arena in East Ridge, a suburb of Chattanooga.
Focusing on gardening and the outdoors, the Expo brings together an array of exhibits, demonstrations, educational activities, and vendors of interest to experienced gardeners, gardening enthusiasts, browsers, and children. On both days,
Master Gardeners present workshops on such topics as raised bed gardening, composting and mulching techniques, as well as a Question & Answer table where Master Gardeners answer a wide range of gardening questions. The Expo also features 17 seminars led by
noted experts. A special area for children age 2-12 offers stories and garden-related hands-on activities and crafts. Numerous vendors provide a variety of plants including orchids, ferns, bonsai trees, as well as plant care tools and equipment. Yard art
offerings include handcrafted birdhouses, birdbaths, benches, iron works and pottery, among other garden-related items.
Door prizes will be given away throughout the two-day Expo. Admission is $5 for adults. Children under 12 are free. Parking is free. For more information see
