Showcase your research and represent the University of Tennessee at a regional, state, or national conference. We are pleased to
announce the addition of an
Undergraduate Research Travel Grants program to our program offerings.
Students presenting their work at conferences may apply for funds to partially defray the costs of registration and travel. The
amounts awarded are:
•$300 for regional conferences (TN and any contiguous state)
•$500 for national conferences
•$800 for international conferences

Do you want to conduct research this summer with a UT faculty member? The Office of Undergraduate Research funds a
summer internship program to promote research and creative activity among undergraduate students. All current full-time undergraduate students enrolled at the Knoxville campus are eligible to apply.
The deadline to apply is February 12.

Let’s Get Started! Undergraduate Research Information Session
- Attend this information session to learn more about the Office of Undergraduate Research, opportunities for research experience, and strategies for contacting faculty research mentors. Offered Mondays at 11 a.m. and Thursdays @ 3 p.m. (on days when classes
are held) Located in Room 407B Blount Hall.
Registration is requested to guarantee a seat.
Peer Mentors are available in Room 407B Blount
Hall. These students have participated in undergraduate research and can talk about strategies to get involved or provide suggestions for presenting your research to external audiences or conducting research abroad. Make an appointment by emailing
