Please share with any interested colleagues. This is an important position within the R4 I&M program that will be strongly involved with regional water/aquatic monitoring efforts. Note the short time frame--position closes this Friday (Dec. 16)

There are so many exciting federal positions being listed right now, let me share what this particular one is...

This is the listing for an Inventory & Monitoring zone ecologist position, to be co-located at St. Marks NWR.  This person will be a member of the regional Inventory & Monitoring Branch team, providing support and expertise in inventory & monitoring (planning, design, coordination, data management and analysis) to national wildlife refuges within the Southeast Region, and particularly those in the South Atlantic geography.  We are particularly hoping to bring someone with a knowledge of aquatic species, habitats, and monitoring methods to the I&M team, but are open to a variety of ecological emphases associated with commitment, understanding, and skill sets for inventory & monitoring.

St. Marks NWR is a wonderful and diverse refuge located in the panhandle of Florida, about 30 minutes south of Tallahassee and the refuge staff is looking forward to hosting the I&M ecologist there as a home base for their responsibilities to a larger landscape of refuges.

Please share this broadly (and quickly - closes this Friday, Dec 16), links to USAJobs in string below.  It will be a exciting position for the right person that wants to make a real difference in the science we are able to conduct associated with our National Wildlife Refuges... and connect with an amazing team of co-workers in I&M and on refuges, outstanding partners, and the wonders of the wildlife, fisheries and habitats of the Southeast!
