Hi all,
I am on the search committee for a full-time
Post-Doctoral Researcher in Information Studies here at TILT (Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society), at Tilburg University in the Netherlands (
www.tilt.nl).
Please consider applying (if relevant) or forwarding the job advertisement to your advanced PhD students, recent graduates, or colleagues. Note that this job is intended for an iSchool-type, not necessarily someone with a law background, even though the department
is in a law school (in fact, we have a number of non-law(yer) types here, including sociologists and STS scholars). The ideal candidate will have demonstrable interests in privacy, qualitative and/or quantitative empirical methods, and an interest in multidisciplinary
collaboration. The working language of our department is English.
Applications are due Dec. 5, 2016.
My colleague, Dr. Nadya Purtova, who is leading the large grant-funded project is great, and I have many nice things to say about the other folks here at TILT as well. I am also happy to field questions about the position, the department, the university,
or about living in the Netherlands (I have been here for about 16.5 months now). The hired post doc must either have a PhD in hand or have their final defense
scheduled when they start (ideally between March 1 and May 1, 2017). They will work with Dr. Purtova, another post doc focused on economics, and a couple of PhD students.
Please share as you see appropriate, and let me know if you have questions. (and apologies for the spam!)
Best,
Bryce
