The incumbent serves as an Environmental Engineer and provides Servicewide leadership in analyzing the impacts of air pollution sources on park resources and values; establishing pollution control equipment policy; and acquiring and developing technical information necessary for the evaluation of air quality standards and the compliance of industries with state and national emission regulations. The incumbent works closely with federal, state and local air pollution officials and other stakeholders to cooperatively develop national air pollution control standards and policies.
