permanent, full-time GS-1340-11/12 Meteorologist position located in Redding, CA.

This position is located at the
Northern Geographic Area Coordination Center
(GACC). The incumbent is an expert in fire meteorology and climatology for all federal and state wildland fire agencies represented in the California Wildfire Coordinating Group (CWCG), including several that are represented at the GACC. The incumbent
is responsible for program oversight and guidance of the weather department at the GACC, and for issuing fire weather forecasts and warnings. Provides training and technical support to Forest Service and other fire agency staff.
