Assist the GIS Department with collecting, gathering and maintaining mapping data included but not limited to 911 addressing, structures and roads.  Creation of GIS databases, linking various types of spatial data, and creation of GIS layers including metadata; does related work as required.  The work is performed under the supervision of a department head but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment.  The work involves a considerable amount of public contact and is reviewed for conformance to established policy.  Knowledge of GIS and 911 applications and general computer/office skills are required, and the ability to work with others across different departments and agencies.

Deadline for applications: Monday,  November 7, 2016.
