Could you please send the below e-mail to Club Geography? We are looking for 1-2 undergraduate researchers to join the climate team this spring.
Subject: Research opportunity with the UT Climate Lab in Spring 2017!
The UT Geography Climate Lab is seeking undergraduates interested in participating in a research project for the spring semester. You will earn credit for your work through GEOG 494 – Undergraduate Research Experience. Three hours of work must be completed for each credit hour earned. These research credits may be counted toward the credits required in upper-level electives in the Geography major.
Students will work with Dr. Kelsey Ellis, Ph.D. student Alisa Hass, and fellow undergraduates on a variety of activities related to Knoxville microclimates and how they affect residents. The research will involve quantitative data collection and analyses using state-of-the-art iButton technology, and qualitative data collection and analyses involving surveys of Knoxville residents. Students may participate in other aspects of research as well, including literature searches, writing, and presentations. Students participating in surveying must compete online training for human subjects research (unless they have already done so).
