Hello TNGIC,

There are a few seats open for TNGIC members in the December Lidar class in Nashville. This class is offered free of charge with registration. This class will also be offered in the spring near the Annual TNGIC Conference.

Lidar in Tennessee Training Class

Date: December 1-2nd – 8:30-4:00PM (each day with lunch provided)

Location: Andrew Johnson Tower, 710 James Robertson Pkwy, Nashville, TN 37243 (3rd floor SHOC room)

Course Description:

2-Day Hands on Lidar Traning Class hosted by TNGIC. Overview of using Lidar in ArcGIS from toolbar and navigational aids introduction, to point clouds and point classification, DEM modeling and contours.

Instructors: Taught by staff from the State of Tennessee, GeoCue and Woolpert.

Curriculum: Training Manual using demonstrations and exercises.

Pre requisite: Good understanding of ArcGIS and how to use and manipulate geospatial data.
