Dear Students -
I welcome you all to the first colloquium talk of the season -- to be held this Thursday, September 15 2016 at 3:40 pm in BGB 301. Dr. Anzhelika Antipova, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Memphis, TN will be giving her talk on "Neighborhood amenities
and attitudes and satisfactions." Dr. Antipova’s research interests are transportation studies (travel behavior: trip chaining, commuting), travel demand modeling, medical geography (race disparities in health outcomes in women), urban processes (employment
centers, Memphis Aerotropolis, land use, retail sustainability), etc. She also studies the impacts of environment (proximity to stationary and mobile sources) on women's health and educational performance among elementary, middle, and high school students
of Shelby County Schools in Tennessee.
Dr. Antipova has agreed to spend her Friday with us, and she will be available for informal chat with students and faculty both, starting 10 am to 12:00/12:30 pm in BGB 406. Feel free to drop by and share your ideas and thoughts on topics of interest with
her.
The colloquium will start at 3:40 pm, BUT light refreshments, coffee and informal meet-n-greet starts at 3:30 pm. Thanks to Hannah for arranging these.
