Maryville College is looking for an Adjunct Research and Instruction Librarian to teach research skills in first year classes, offer research assistance appointments to students, lead workshops on research tools and library
resources, develop subject guides and instructional materials, and work at our public service desk. The adjunct librarian may also participate in orientation, publicity and outreach, and collection development activities.
This position requires an American Library Association accredited Masters’ degree in Library and Information Science and work experience in an academic library. Classroom teaching experience is strongly preferred.
The Adjunct Research and Instruction Librarian is scheduled for 21 hours per week, with Sunday shifts required. Employment term is one semester, with a new contract offered as available at the start of each semester.
