Hey Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a great start of the semester and thanks to everyone who came to the interest meeting tonight!

I hope you all are still considering joining the Canoe & Hiking Club! If you couldn’t make it to the meeting tonight or didn’t catch everything, I’ve included all the details on how to join below.

Meetings

Meetings are every Wednesday at 6:30PM. We will meet in HSS plaza by the bull fountain when the weather is nice or on the ground floor of HSS when it is not (room numbers will be posted up on Facebook right before the meeting) .

Facebook Group

We post almost everything to our Facebook group (and this email list), so make sure that you join it to stay informed. You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/UTCanoeHike

Dues

Dues are $50 for the year or $35 for the semester. They can be paid in cash or check to Hunter Pons ([log in to unmask]) or you can pay our venmo @UT-Canoe-Hiking. If you pay with a check make sure to make it out to “Canoe and Hiking Club @ UT.” We will be collecting dues at all of our regular meetings or you can try and work something else out with Hunter if you can’t make it to them.

Waiver

The waiver must be filled out before you can attend any trips. You can find it here: https://utk.collegiatelink.net/organization/canoeandhiking/availableforms

Driving

If you would like to drive your own car for any of our trips you will also need to fill out the “Personal Vehicle Driver Policy and Agreement 2016-2017” form found here:https://utk.collegiatelink.net/organization/sportclubs/availableforms

Guest Traveler

Every year the club is allocated funds from the University we can use for gas and other club expenses. Unfortunately, we can only reimburse people that fill out a guest traveler form and have never worked for the University. If you have never worked for the University please fill out the “Guest Traveler Form” also found on the Sport Clubs' Vol link page:https://utk.collegiatelink.net/organization/sportclubs/availableforms
