The Fisheries Biologist I position involves tasks related primarily to the Lake Roosevelt Fisheries Evaluation Program.  Program goals are to assess wild and hatchery fish populations, environmental impacts from hydro-operations and analyzing data to predict fishery responses to management actions.  The position will be responsible for providing direct oversight for the Lake Roosevelt Fisheries Evaluation Program’s (LRFEP) Lake Roosevelt Angler Creel Survey. The Wildlife Mitigation Program (WMP) of the Spokane Tribe manages 8,407 acres of mitigation lands secured for the Tribe by Bonneville Power Administration to mitigate the impacts of Grand Coulee Dam. The Habitat Biologist position is a full-time, permanent position located in Wellpinit, Washington and is responsible for habitat management activities on Wildlife Mitigation Areas (WMA) with the goal of ensuring sustainable wildlife and fish populations and their supporting habitats. Specific objectives are listed below.
