Description: The U.S. Department of Transportation invites you to join DOT officials in an interactive discussion on the Interim National Multimodal Freight Network (NMFN). This network is intended to identify the most significant highway, railroad, marine, and aviation freight facilities in the United States. The network is required by the FAST Act; a Final NMFN will be created by December 4, 2016 that incorporates freight stakeholder and public feedback about the Interim NMFN. Improving the nation's freight network is a key priority for the U.S. Department of Transportation, and we would like to use this opportunity to explain why various facilities were included on the Interim NMFN and answer your questions about the interim network before the comment period ends on September 6th.

Topics and Presenters:

Featured Speaker:
Ryan Endorf, Office of Transportation Policy, U.S. Office of the Secretary

Other staff from the Office of the Secretary as well as the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Railroad Administration, the Maritime Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration will also participate and help answer any general or mode-specific questions you may have about the Interim NMFN.
