The 5th Annual Watershed Symposium held by UT will be on Tuesday, Sept 13th, at the Hollingsworth Auditorium, Agriculture Campus (website:
https://ag.tennessee.edu/watershedminor/Pages/WatershedSymposium.aspx) . As with previous symposiums, there is a student poster competition at the 5th symposium. In the past, our geography students were very active, especially at the poster competition,
at this symposium. We have won numerous awards at this event. I highly recommend our students to participate in the symposium and sign up for the poster competition this year. This is a very good venue for our students to present your work in a professional
and friendly setting as well as to meet many other agencies, faculty, and students sharing interests in water resources (e.g., you will see quite a number of our former students who now are employed at various agencies at this symposium; asking them questions
about jobs available at those agencies would be fun).
If you plan to participate in the symposium and go for the poster competition,
please send me a note with a title by August 25. If you need help with the poster, I and other faculty can assist you as well. Just let me know!
