Associate Professor (Associate Director-Library)
The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Library is recruiting for an Associate Director. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position at the Associate Professor rank. This
senior position, which reports to the Director of the library, will manage the day-to-day operations of the library.
The ideal candidate will bring substantial academic health sciences library knowledge and experience to the position. Working closely with the Director, the Associate Director will be able to create and implement
new service programs while utilizing staff talents, interests, and expertise to the best advantage. The Associate Director will also focus on strengthening the library’s value and connections to the institution and the people we serve.
Requires a master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited library school, five or more years of library experience, and substantial supervisory and management experience. For more information, see the library web page:

This senior position, which reports to the Director of the library, will manage the library’s research, instruction, and reference services. The ideal candidate will bring substantial academic health sciences
library knowledge and experience to the position. Working closely with the Director, the Assistant Director of Research & Learning Services will oversee research support, instructional services, access services, an embedded librarian program and monitor current
trends in technology. The Assistant Director for Research & Learning Services will manage six library faculty positions and four staff positions.
