The Cleveland Bradley County Public Library has an opening for the History Branch and Archives Manager position.  The successful candidate will have a passion for genealogical research and the ability to share that passion with the public.  The History Branch Manager answers directly to the Library Director. Job Summary: The History Branch Manager is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, organization, and preservation of the library's East Tennessee/Local Genealogical Collections. This collection includes books, maps, photographs, family histories, manuscripts, microfilm newspapers, and other microfilm resources. The History Branch Manager provides guidance and reference service for patrons of the facility. The History Branch Manager is also responsible for the planning and implementation of all History Branch programs.

Key attributes:
People person; articulate (in speech as well as written); understanding preservation of materials; ability to work independently; ability to supervise and train History Branch personnel; possess great organizational skills; ability to work with other library employees.

Education:
College Degree required
