For Graduate Students and Post-Docs:
The Tennessee Teaching and Learning Center is offering a free seven-module summer seminar on Teaching and Learning for Graduate students and Postdoctoral Fellows entitled “Facilitating
Undergraduate Evidence-Based Learning in STEM or F.U.E.L. for STEM.”
This is a wonderful opportunity for participants who are interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of the most STEM effective teaching practices (defined broadly to
include the broadest range of sciences, such as agriculture and psychology).
This non-credit workshop series will meet on the following dates: July 6th-20th. Time to be determined by participants. Topics to be covered include:

Evidence-Based Teaching and Learning
o
Learning Through Diversity
o
Pedagogical Content Knowledge
o
Science Identity and Beliefs and their Influence on Teaching Practice
o
Creating Effective Learning Communities
o
Teaching as Research
Upon successful completion, students will achieve
CIRTL certification (Center for Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning) at the Associates Level.
