Louisiana Delta Service Corps (Americorps) positions

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to drive bold, science-based action to rebuild Coastal Louisiana through outreach, restoration and advocacy. Pursuant to our mission, CRCL created the Habitat Restoration Program (HRP), which engages volunteers to participate in restoration activities at sites across our coast. Since its inception in 2000, the program has worked with over 11,500 volunteers and restored or enhanced over 4,500 acres of coastal habitat.

Habitat Restoration Program (HRP) Assistant

The HRP Assistant is an AmeriCorps position and will work directly under the CRCL’s Restoration Programs Director and HRP Coordinator to develop wetland restoration projects that will help restore/protect a portion of Louisiana’s coast, engage volunteers in innovative hands-on restoration projects, and engage communities in environmental leadership.

Outreach and Engagement Program Assistant (Outreach Assistant)

The Outreach Assistant is an AmeriCorps position working directly under CRCL’s Outreach and Engagement Manager to expand the capacity of the program through increased interaction and assisting with the development of policies, plans, and measures that facilitate climate adaptation for coastal communities.

Oyster Shell Recycling Program (OSRP) Assistant

The Oyster Shell Recycling Program (OSRP) Assistant is an AmeriCorps position and will work directly under CRCL’s Restoration Programs Director to assist with the management and growth of the OSRP by developing a framework for program expansion across the coast, researching oyster ecology, economy and policy, and implementing volunteer-based oyster reef restoration projects.

All positions are AmeriCorps positions that are offered to CRCL through the Louisiana Delta Service Corps AmeriCorps program. Members will serve in the CRCL New Orleans office for the 2016-2017 service year (Sept. 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017).

No phone calls to the CRCL office please.

Applications are due July 1, 2016.
