Updates on Off-Hour Delivery Pilots Part II: The Experience of Bogota, Colombia
The Peer-to-Peer Exchange Program is designed to share global best practice cases and real world examples of sustainable urban freight systems. This program is open to anyone with a professional or a personal interest in freight transportation issues. Professional Development Hours will be provided to those interested.
The success of the Off-Hour Delivery (OHD) Program in New York City demonstrated the feasibility and potential of freight demand management. Impacts include reduced congestion, more reliable goods movement, increased urban livability, and a better business environment. This, in turn, has prompted cities around the world to implement pilot tests of OHD and consider their eventual full implementation. This upcoming webinar is the second in a two part series of webinars to provide updates on OHD pilot tests around the world. In this webinar, results of the pilot test in Bogota, Colombia will be presented.
OHD were tested in Bogota in 2015 with the participation of seventeen companies including manufacturers, transporters and receivers. The results from this pilot project will be discussed from the perspective of the key stakeholders that participated in the project the SecretarÃa de Movilidad (Ministry of Mobility), Invest in Bogota, and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
