JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Communications Coordinator I

 

The University of Tennessee Institute for Public Service administration office is recruiting a Communications Coordinator I (graphic designer) to support the Institute for Public Service and its five agencies in the strategy, brainstorming, creation, production and implementation of graphic design and digital resources to be used in print and web communications. These include the IPS website, web templates and style guides, information graphics, all print publications, the IPS quarterly magazine, etc. 

 

This position reports to the Information Specialist II (IPS communications lead) and promotes the mission and statewide impact of the Institute for Public Service through strategic electronic and print communication, generated by (and about) all elements of the institute.

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or graphic arts. One to three years of experience in visual communications with strong graphic design and digital design background. Must have strong web design experience with knowledge of HTML, Dreamweaver, Wordpress and CSS. Experience in Drupal is a plus. Must have experience with photography and video; be a well-organized self-starter; have attention to detail, punctuality, deadlines and strong work ethic; and have strong time management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
