Subject: Volunteer Opportunity: AND Chance to Attend Knoxville Opera TOSCA on April 30

Friends & Colleagues,

I want to share a unique student Volunteer opportunity with each of you that I am hoping you will pass along to your fantastic student groups. On April 30th, the Knoxville Opera Company will perform Tosca across three separate venues here in Knoxville. It will be a stunning performance but the logistics require many volunteers to make it great.

The Knoxville Opera Company is in need of 40 college student volunteers to assist in return for a free ticket, dinner, and free tickets to next falls The Pirates of Penzance.

Brief details are included below and more details attached. I would so appreciate you passing this on to your student groups and others who may have an interest in helping. A love of opera is not required. Though I’m sure a love and appreciation of opera will result. J Thank you & GO VOLS!

April 30th 40 Volunteers Needed for Tosca:

All volunteers will be provided a complimentary seat in each venue,

a box dinner (sandwich, chips, cookie, beverage) between Acts 1 & 2,

and a free ticket to Knoxville Opera’s October 2016 production of The Pirates of Penzance.

Volunteer activities may include ushering, indoor/outdoor logistics, and riding buses.

Volunteers are required to attend:

Training: Thursday, April 28, 6pm to 11pm

Performance: Saturday, April 30, Noon to 10pm

Volunteers should RSVP to Sarah Fitch ASAP:

Sarah Fitch at [log in to unmask] or 865-524-0795 ext. 251

You may be wondering, why I am emailing about Opera?!:

I joined the Opera Board shortly after moving to Knoxville because I wanted to engage in my new community and support the arts. Knowing very little about opera, I soon came to realize that our little Knoxville Opera Company – puts on amazing shows and does so much to enrich our community through educational outreach. I have been blown away by our opera company and feel fortunate to live in a city that offers incredible cultural opportunities to campus and all of Knoxville. I would love to see our students more involved (we have two Honors students who sit on our board). April 30th provides a wonderful opportunity for volunteerism and a sneak peek (at no cost) at an amazing opera company.

Thank you for your support!
