Dear Geography students: Please accept my thanks to several of you who met and interacted with Dr. Ken Foote, our Hammond Lecturer, last week. When I had dinner with Dr. Foote on Friday night, he had nothing but very high praise for his meetings with students. He was quite impressed and much of that is due to the energy you brought to welcoming Dr. Foote. I am grateful that you represented us so well. Finally, please note that Dr. Foote donated a copy of the professional development text he has co-edited, Practicing Geography, to the Department. The book is in room 406 in the glass display case that sits directly across from the door. My plan is to use that book in teaching Geography 499 this coming fall semester.
