From: Ripley, Cora Desmond On Behalf Of Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
Subject: Encourage your graduating students to complete the First Destination survey
Importance: High

Dear deans and department heads:

We write to ask for your assistance in encouraging graduating students (both undergraduate and graduate students) to complete the First Destination survey sponsored by the Center for Career Development.

We know that academic units would like to have reliable, centrally-provided data regarding student placements. The Center for Career Development will be the authoritative central source for this information, but the information that the Center provides can only be accurate and comprehensive if students respond to the First Destination survey. Reliable, centrally-provided data regarding student placements helps improve the academic program review process and the annual budget and planning process. Please consider asking your units' directors of graduate and undergraduate studies to reach out to graduating students to encourage them to complete the First Destination survey before leaving campus.

All graduating students have already received a reminder to complete the survey from the Office of the University Registrar. That reminder contains a link to the survey. For your convenience, the link is reproduced below:

Sincerely,

Dixie Thompson and R.J. Hinde
