This is a friendly reminder that there are two events in the context of the 2016 Hammond Lecture Series today, Thursday April 21.


First, Dr. Ken Foote, Professor and Head, Department of Geography, University of Connecticut, the Hammond Speaker this year, will meet with undergraduate students in room BGB 406, from noon to 1:30 pm, to talk about Career Development.  The event is coordinated by Club Geography and all grad and undergraduate students are welcome. Pizza will be serve.


Next, Dr. Foote will give the Hammond lecture at Hodges Library Auditorium in the afternoon. The reception starts at 3 pm, in front of the Auditorium, and the lecture at 3:40 pm. The title of Dr’s Foote lecture is “On the edge of memory: Uneasy legacies of dissent, terror and violence in the American Landscape” in the Hodges Library Auditorium.
