EPA Safe & Healthy Communities Assessment Tool Support Associate

The EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program is searching for a Safe & Healthy Communities Assessment Tool Support Associate for the EPA Research Triangle Park facility in Raleigh-Durham, NC. The Associate will assist in developing, refining, and managing C-FERST (Community-Focused Exposure and Risk Screening Tool) and Tribal- FERST (Tribal-Focused Environmental Risk and Sustainability Tool). The job is expected to begin May 2016. 

·         Full time, $27.31/hour

·         Must have earned a master’s degree in computer science or environmental science, public health or other closely related field 

·         Successful candidates will have education and/or experience in computer programming with regards to webpage content, exhibit competency in ESRI ARC/GIS Online and Widget-building programming, and have strong written, oral and electronic communication skills

·         Will perform tasks such as updating the underlying IT, GIS, and website development supporting these tools, developing and revising metadata, improving EPA web-based decision support tools, updating website content, assisting with C-FERST demos and training, supporting outreach, and administrative functions like recording meetings and tracking projects
