SIXTH WORKSHOP ON DIFFERENTIAL GEOMETRY (First Announcement)
La Falda, Sierras de Cordoba, Argentina
August 1--5, 2016
The workshop will focus on applications of Lie transformation groups to several central areas of differential geometry, including geometric flows and solitons, holonomy and its applications, special geometric structures, and dynamics on Riemannian manifolds. Minicourses will address Kahler geometry, Yamabe invariants, calibrations and minimal volume submanifolds, Ricci solitons, spectral geometry, and dynamical aspects of geodesics.
Pending final NSF approval, we can provide travel funds for some researchers from the United States. All funds will be directed towards graduate students, recent Ph.D.'s, and others who do not have other sources of federal support. To apply for funding, please contact Michael Jablonski <
[log in to unmask]>. Graduate students and recent Ph.D.'s should include a brief statement of interests and a CV. Graduate students should also have their advisors send a supporting letter. For full consideration, please apply by April 30. We especially encourage women and members of underrepresented minorities to apply.
