* SOC16: Student Scholarship / Student Worker Application Deadline EXTENDED! Apply today! *

Our two FREE REGISTRATION OPPORTUNITIES for students at the State of the Coast Conference 2016 (June 1st – 3rd, 2016) are available in two categories: Student Scholarships and Student Worker Positions. The new deadline is COB MONDAY, MARCH 14th, 2016.

Student Scholarships will be offered to a limited number of qualified undergraduate or graduate students who have submitted abstracts for oral or poster presentations by the deadline (November 30th, 2015). A Student Scholarship covers registration fee for the conference and includes admission to all oral and poster sessions, exhibits, breaks, luncheons, the Opening Reception, and Poster Session Happy Hour.

In order to apply for a Student Scholarship, please click here.

Student Worker Positions give students the opportunity to volunteer for 6 – 8 hours in exchange for conference registration, which also includes admission to all oral and poster sessions, exhibits, breaks, luncheons, the Opening Reception, and Poster Session Happy Hour.

In order to apply for a Student Worker position, please click here.

In order to be eligible for either a Scholarship or a Worker Position, you must be enrolled as a current full-time undergraduate or graduate student, and submit your application by the extended deadline of MONDAY, MARCH 14th, 2016. Accepted applicants will be notified within two weeks.

The State of the Coast Conference is the largest event of its kind providing interdisciplinary presentations on the dynamic state of Louisiana’s coastal communities, environment, and economy. The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL), the Water Institute of the Gulf and the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) have partnered to produce this forum, the need for which grows with every acre of land lost to the Gulf.
