Head Librarian

The Ohio State, Ohio Agricultural Research Development Center (OARDC) located in Wooster, OH is accepting applications for Librarian 3.  The successful candidate will plan, direct, and evaluate the overall operation of the OARDC Library; build relationships and develop partnerships to create projects and programs to ensure future growth of the OARDC research community; conducts complex literature searches, reference work and consultations throughout research lifecycle including planning, conducting, publishing and measuring impact; delivers orientation and graduate instruction; implements digital and print collections serving research needs for employees; supervises library staff; manages library budgets; collaborates with librarians throughout University;  provides leadership for all areas of OARDC library.  Requirements include a Master’s in Library Science or Library and Information Science; three years minimum of educational/instructional experience in an academic library; educational background in agriculture or related field; one year supervisory experience.  Project and data management plan development desired.  Requires successful completion of a background check.  For position description and application instructions please visit www.jobsatosu.com and search by job opening #415445.  Application Deadline: 03/06/16.
