Family & Consumer Sciences Extension is seeking an Extension Food System Specialist for the Nutrition Education Program to provide food systems technical assistance. Specific responsibilities include: develop, manage and lead policy, systems and environment (PSE) approaches and education interventions to facilitate community food equity. Plan, implement and evaluate PSE strategies and educational materials to address needs. Promote an understanding of how food systems influence public health and economic viability. Communicate, coordinate and integrate Extension food access and related PSE and education interventions with those of other government, community and university programs. Educate public about strengthening community food systems to improve dietary behavior and health outcomes.
