The Student Success Center is offering a variety of academic support for the spring semester. Please see below information and share with your students. (Our flyer is attached for you as well).

Academic Coaching: A one-on-one meeting with a trained Academic Coach who can help with time management, goal setting, and more! Call 974-6641 to make an appointment or stop by Monday – Friday 8:30-4:00. Students can also make an appointment through Grades First, found on the MyUTK portal. Click here for instructions.

Academic Success Online Modules: These online modules are required for students placed on academic probation at the end of their first term at UT. These students are also required to attend 2 Academic Coaching sessions in the spring. (Students who do not complete the online modules are required to attend 3 Academic Coaching sessions). Please have students contact Doug Renalds ([log in to unmask]) with questions.

Supplemental Instruction: Out of class study sessions with trained student SI Leaders. No appointment necessary. The schedule with details on time, location, and day will be posted shortly.

Tutoring: Drop in or by appointment sessions available. Tutoring will begin Tuesday, January 19th, and students can check the schedule (posted shortly) for details. Please also let students know that more tutoring options may be available through the SSC and to contact us if they are in need of tutoring for a subject not currently listed on the website. Students can also make an appointment through Grades First, found on the MyUTK portal. Click here for instructions.

UT LEAD: First-year UT LEAD students placed on probation this semester are required to take an academic support class, COUN 205: Student Dev UT LEAD. This class is intented to assist students in achieving academic success and returning to good standing. As always, all UT LEAD students also have the opportunity for additional support and assistance from the Student Success Center. Please contact Anton Reece ([log in to unmask]) with any questions.

Finally, the SSC website has many resources for students, including information about student success skills and the SSC annual Comprehensive Assessment Report. Our data shows that students who regularly utilize a variety of services achieve high academic success!

Thanks and Go Vols!
