This position will include teaching responsibilities in data science or data enabled science at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to applicants with a research record focused on health information, eHealth, health networks, environmental science, astronomy, or scholarly work on business behavior and eCommerce. It is expected that a successful applicant will have familiarity and experience with the computationally intensive methods that are used in modern data science, including, for example: data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, predictive analytics, machine learning, visualization, and high-performance computing. The successful applicant will have ideally developed a strong track record of good teaching and academic citizenry. Experience with interdisciplinary/ multidisciplinary/ transdisciplinary funded grant teams is desired. Minimum Qualifications * Earned PhD. or commensurate degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics or relevant field. * Demonstrated research and publication record or potential. * Demonstrated technology expertise. * Documented evidence of teaching ability.
